a haircut, then something original to say would make this interesting. now i can see why crispin has had some real awesome stuff and some real loser spots (coke, bk's superbowl spot): these guys stick their necks out, and sometimes they win. but most of the time, and this video bears it out, they just shoot from the hip, because, well, um, my hair's long i'm unshaven and i have a cool t-shirt on.
Yeah, they must be incredibly lucky to have gotten VW, Sprite and Miller Lite within months of each other. OR they have incredible AEs, a deep account planning team, and the hardest working creatives outside of NY. But it's probably just luck.
I dont know what the hell alex bogusky was saying b/c all I could hear was the cameraman saying "'m huh" after everything he said. I counted about 42 "'m huhs" with another two dozen "right" "yeah", et al's.
I agree with AB about being present in the present. Today is all that matters. No one can predict what's going to happen in the next few hours let alone the next few years. Futurism exists for those who don't have something to shove out the door in the next 24 hours to meet some client's knee jerk reaction to the here-and-now. Love to plan, love to think, love to be proactive, but reality demands the ability to create good solutions for immediate challenges on a dime. The agencies who employ this philosophy - to some degree - will thrive regardless of what the future holds. Oh, and he's super cute.
Of course CP&B is the most sought after agnecy on the planet and Alex is successful far beyond what you'll ever achieve. I've worked with him. He's great. Accept it.
